I had a great time at girls camp! My husband had friday off and came up to his parents where my kids were so when I got there we ended up staying and doing Father's Day fun stuff and taking the kids swimming! We got home Sunday at 3pm and I was doing laundry like a mad women! I felt like I was stalking the dryer LOL! Monday I had to go to the orthodontist and get my retainer checked and was going to leave after that but I had a nail in my tire and had to get that fixed. I am amazed that I got that all squeezed in and on the road by noon! So happy to be at Robyn's now!!
So I know that you have all been waiting for what the special thing I was working on!
My little brother in law proposed last weekend to his girlfriend! He asked me to help him.
He liked how his brother (my husband) proposed so he wanted to do something similar.
We came up with doing a scavenger hunt on her parents property and with each clue she would get pieces to a puzzle. She would have to put the puzzle together to get the last clue to where he was waiting.
(I took these pictures at my in-laws house so the lighting is not the best)
We took some pictures of the ring in an outdoor setting and then I uploaded the picture to snapfish and ordered the puzzle. It came with a cute keepsake tin so I put a bow around that for him to give her after he proposed.
He asked me to make something that had to do with each of them for each of the clues.
I made card toppers for the bags of puzzles and attached the bags to the inside of the back of the card and then he wrote the clue on the inside of the front of the card.
She likes dancing and he had seen the card I made for my niece so he wanted to these shoes on one of the clues. This cut was from the Twinkle Toes cartridge.
Turquoise is her favorite color so we thought it would be fun to make a cute little present in these colors.
I cut the box from the Sweethearts cartridge.
They both like the outdoors so I did this cut from Campin' Critters.
She is an esthetician so he thought it would be fun to do some cosmetics.
I did these cuts from the Forever Young cartridge.
He wanted to do some wildlife so this cut is from the Wildlife cartridge.
I put each of the clue bags in these and tied a cute bow on each of them.
I haven't got a chance to hear the whole story of how it all worked out because I headed out to Robyn's but from what I here she was totally surprised and loved everything!
