LA-CHA Day 1

Today has been an eventful day!! I am happy that this year my flights were all fine, and this year I was able to meet up with Robyn on our layovers and had out flight into LA together!! We were laughing and giggling the whole time!! The Circle Swarm was fun and got to see lots of friends and meet some new ones! I am going on only about 1 1/2 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours so life has been quite hilarious! We have also had our share of "adventures" today too! LA traffic has been fun to navigate,  I also drove half way back to where we are staying with my lights off  (LOL) and had no clue!! We topped off the night by locking ourselves out when we went to meet the pizza guy! We so wish we would have had our flip videos with us because we were having a lot of fun trying to keep warm and not go crazy with boredom!!! Lots of fun had by us all tonight and now it is time to go to bed! Make sure to check out Robyn's website to see some fun pictures and videos!!

100th Day of School Project

My daughters class is doing projects to celebrate the 100th day of school. They were each asked to get 100 pieces of an item and then come up with a way to display them. They were supposed to do the majority of the project by themselves.  So we got some buttons, a box and glue and she counted out 100 buttons and then glued them on her box. She was so proud and asked me to put her picture on my computer, so I did!

Check back tomorrow for a fun Birthday video!!!

January MPD Project

Good Morning Everyone!! Today is Robyn's My Pink Design Team Post!

For my project I made a little Valentine gift that I am going to make a bunch of for my husbands staff.
I used my Sweethearts Cartridge and I used Robyn's Love-alicious stamp set and her Happiest Moments stamp set.

I started out with a little metal tin

then I filled it with Cinnamon Jelly Hearts.

I used Fabri-tac to attach my ribbon to the tin.

I cut the hearts out at 1 1/2 inches. I used the same heart and size I just used the blackout feature for one cut and the shadow feature for the other cut. It made the hearts just a little different sizes.
I attached the hearts with pop dots.

My finished Project!

I hope you all have a great day!

Chore Chart

So I finally finished my project! It took me a lot longer to put together than I thought that it would.  LOL!
My plan was to make this chore chart for my daughter and I wanted it to be adaptable. There are things that we do each day and then there are things that we only do on a couple days of the week.

Here are my pieces before I laminated them.

Here are all of the pieces after I laminated them. The top row has all of the "Done" stars for when she completes the chore. Then next row is the days of the week.  The next two rows have the things that we will do every day.  The last row is the pieces that we will use on different days!

For now this is how I am going to use them. I will have the day at the top and then I will have all of the chores for the day below it. I am hoping to eventually find a framed metal piece that is big enough to have all of the daily pieces on it and then a section for the "extra" chores. When I do find that I am sure that I will post that too!!

I finally got my new cricut out!
I made myself wait and put it under the Christmas tree and then I decided I needed to get some other tasks done before I could "reward" myself. So today I did my first project on my new Cricut! I made a video so you will see its debut soon! I know you might be shocked that I didn't get the plum one, but I was thinking ahead to how my future craft room will be decorated and I couldn't have a plum machine against a purple wall!!
Hope you are all having a great day! I have been super multitasking and have been working on two projects!! One is a video, look for it this weekend!! (wish I could edit as fast as Robyn) And the other I hope finish tonight and post pictures of tomorrow!!!

YEAH!! I own DIRT!
We bought some property today! I am excited because this means that we are on our way to building our house!! The house is still a little ways off but the first step is done!! We have been renting for about 2 years now after owning a home for 4 years. It has been tough going back to renting. We looked for a long time for houses to buy but could not find anything that met our needs or were a price that we wanted to pay. When we saw this lot I just knew that it was the direction we needed to go and so we began the process. So there is a lot of story behind my excitement over DIRT!!
Because of this excitement I thought it would be fun to decorate something to put our dirt in and then put it on the mantle.  I am sure that my Husband is going to think that I am weird, but that is okay.

I took one of my extra embellishment jars and glued ribbon on the sides and made a bow on top.
I found some stamps in  my stash that I could use to make a tree and the dots! It was pretty quick and easy. I think that the kids will like going and putting a handful of dirt in the jar!!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement with you!!

Snowflake Card

A quick card I made this weekend. I used my Imagine and the Snow Angel Imagine cart for the snow flake and then I used stickles to bling it up a little! The stamp is from Robyn's Winter Punnies stamp set!

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

I am so excited that I am able to do this blog hop with my BEST FRIEND and all of her wonderful and talented design team!  I am also excited to be a Honorary  design team member!

For my project I used Robyn's Pinka-licious stamp set and Paisley cartridge for my lipstick cut which I cut at 3 1/2 inches.

We are doing something that I think is so fun! You  get  a key word from each person in the blog hop. These key words will tell you what the challenge is! Once you finish your challenge you can link it on Robyn's post!

Key Word- Color

Now hop on over to Maria!!!

In case you skipped or missed any below is the order so you can get all of you clues!

A Fun Project

I can't take credit for this cute project but I wanted to share it with all of you!
I work with the youth in my church on Wednesday nights and we each made one of these last night!
We had a lot of fun and it was really easy!

We took basic frames from the store and had metal sheets cut to fit inside. Took the glass out of the frame and put the metal sheet in its place. We used fabric and gems to make the flowers on the frame. To make the magnets we used clear "rocks",  painted the back with mod podge then placed the paper on the back, then we glued round magnets to the paper and let dry!!
The names were cut out with vinyl on a cricut. I am not sure which font she used!

Hope that brings you joy and inspiration!!

Snow Fun

I am working on lots of projects today and I am so excited about them but I can't share them with you yet. So in the meantime I thought that I would share some fun pictures.
We got a big snow storm (for our town) just before New Year's. My kids had a blast playing in the snow while I tried to get all of snow off of our steep driveway. I didn't want it to freeze because if it did I would not be going anywhere until it melted!

We had to get out and get some shopping done. We made dad drive us!

Over New Year's we went skiing in Taos! We had a lot of fun but it was freezing!!
We started the day off at -9 !!!!!!!!! Burrrr!!!
At least the sun was out for a little bit!

Our kids had fun in their ski lessons and then we picked them up and did a little skiing as a family! My little man likes to ski between my legs down the hill because I hold on to him and we go "super fast"! We go at my daughters pace but it is faster than his pace so he loves it. We usually pretend we are chasing her!!!

Thanks for letting me share some of my family fun with you!!!

A Quick Birthday Card

Today is my husbands Birthday!!! I have been busy all day with Birthday fun! This morning I took him donuts and his favorite soda to him at work. Then my little boy and I got our teeth cleaned while at his office. We hung out for a little bit and waited for my husband to finish up and then we took him to lunch. His brother met us and brought an Ice cream cake. Good thing I hadn't made cupcakes for him to share with his staff today! One of his employees made him a cake for the office. I picked up my daughter from school and I have been busy fixing him his birthday dinner. I had a quick minute to throw together a Birthday Card and my kids made there own very "special" cards! I will have to get pictures later.  I tried to upload the front view of this card but the system kept rejecting it. Anyway here it is. The make a wish is from Imaginisce Birthday Bash Collection.

Office Box with Style

I was getting tired of having to search the deep dark depths of my husbands work bag for all of the important papers that I need so that I can do my work for his office so......
I fancied up this wood box that I found at Hobby Lobby.
Now no one can miss that this is were they need to put the papers that I need!!!!
I am sure that the office gals will like it!!
I painted the ends purple....

and covered the rest with a green polka dot paper using mod podge.
Then I coated the whole thing with 2 layers of mod podge.

I love how it turned out! And now I get all of the papers I need to do my job!
