My Comedy of Errors

Hey Everyone! I am finally HOME!!  I feel so bad that I have not posted much the last two weeks:( I thought that I would share some of what my crazy last two weeks has been.  The Friday before Thanksgiving I made an 8 hour drive to attend a conference in Salt Lake City which started that evening and continued most of the day on Saturday. The conference was wonderful and inspiring!!! While doing some shopping after the conference it started to snow a lot. We were supposed to leave Sunday morning but decided to delay so that we could let the mountain pass  that we had to drive thru melt a bit and give the snow plows time to go thru. That proved to be a good decision and we made it thru with only some weather issues but we ended up getting caught in another storm about three and a half hours away from home.  We made it about one more hour and then had to stop.  Good thing we knew people in that town and had a place to stay! Then began the task of finding a babysitter to take my kids for Monday until we got home.  Three hours later I had a babysitter.  The rest of Monday and on Tuesday I was busy unpacking and repacking, getting my family packed and getting the accounting caught up for my Husbands office. Then early in the morning on Wednesday we were off to Robyn's House!!!!! A long day of driving and we were finally there! We had a wonderful time at Robyn's! The kids played, had a very nice Thanksgiving, got some mad shopping done (yeah Black friday!!!) 98% of my Christmas shopping got done and it all got wrapped!!! We were planing on leaving Sunday after church but then we had a little hitch in out plans. Early in the morning on Sunday my husband got up from bed to help our daughter to the bathroom while there he passed out into the tub.  I will spare all of the details but Robyn's husband ended up taking him to the ER for me. Turns out he was having a full body reaction to a medication he was taking and it cause him to swell up, have a rash and pass out. He got some IV fluids and meds at the hospital  and then they sent him home. We all thought that it would be best for us not to head home that day and to let my husband rest and let the meds  kick in.  We drove home yesterday and had only about 10 miles of a snow storm that we would have been fully in on Sunday night and it would have been really icy. So our medical detour is a blessing in a way! My husband is feeling much better today! I am working on a project for church today and getting Laundry :(done but I have a few pictures that I will post for you a little later. (probably tomorrow)

Crazy Hair Day

My Daughter had CRAZY HAIR DAY at school yesterday! This is what we came up with, she got flossed!! I had wanted to put a toothbrush in her hair as well but we didn't have any extras at the house. Everyone loved her hair and she wanted to show all of  the girls and daddy's office when she got home from school.  Some of the patients got to see her hair too,  they all liked it too!

My Weekend

I hope everyone is having a great Monday. I have a serious sinus headache so I am not really feeling like playing in my craft room. I know it is shocking!! I thought I would show you what I was up to this weekend though!

My Husband was out of town for four days and I have a hard time sleeping while he is gone, so I stayed up and worked on a bunch of  things. I thought I would share one with you.
These are file folder games. My kids love them! I have some that are just educational and some that are religious and some that combine religion and education. I haven't made any in a while so I decided that I would this weekend and got about 15 made. My daughter likes helping me put the pieces thru the laminator. She was a big help!
This weekend we also went to an "auction" to help the youth raise some money for camps that they are going to go in the summer. It was fun! My daughter saw this cute "Mommy and Me Baking Kit". So when this one came up for auction I let her use the paddle and try to win it. She had so much fun and I was laughing so hard. She just wanted to hold the paddle up and I kept telling her she had to put it down and then back up. She ended up winning. Someone asked me how much we ended up getting it for and I didn't know. Whatever it was would have been worth the laughs it brought me and the joy it brought her as well as that it was for a good cause, but in the end it only was 13 dollars!
She can't wait to put on the matching aprons and make all of the goodies that are in the jar!

Shall We Dance?

Here is a scrapbook page that I made with my new Shall We Dance? cartridge. I cut the little dancer at 5 1/2 inches. My wands are cut at 5 1/2 and 5 1/4. I have never been a dancer or do I know much about it but I still think that this is a cute cartridge and I am sure I will have moments with my little girl where I can use this cart!! I was going to post this yesterday but things got a little crazy! LOL! I also now have a new item for my christmas wish list.... a NEW CAMERA. Mine has this spot that shows up on my pictures that I can't figure out where it comes from and it was acting up yesterday. So this was the best picture that I could get :(

Baby Card

My SIL recently had a little baby girl and so I made a card to go along with the gift that I am going to send. I used Robyn's Happiest Moments stamp set that she released while I was out visiting her. I cut the little girl baby carriage at 3 1/2 inches from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  I had to use stickles because my DD said that the card needed to "sparkle"!! I also have had the opportunity to try out a fun new product that will be coming out at the beginning of the year!! I used this product instead of pop dots and it added some fun and movement to my card!!!

Some fun Pictures of the weekend

I hope that you all had a wonderful Halloween weekend! We had a lot of fun!!

On Friday I made these goodie bags for my husbands employees. I used Happy Hauntings for my image. It is supposed to be a Poison bottle but I didn't like the way the words and skeleton face were cutting at this size so I used one of Robyn's stamps from her Spooky Puns set and I used a little face stamp from Peachy Keen.

On Saturday we carved pumpkins! My kids had a blast! The kids and I used stencils and my husband did his own thing. He is very proud of his baseball!!

We had a lot of fun dressing up for Trunk or Treat at our church!
